PHUKET'S 2010' Day 3

Date: 26th March
Comrades: Susam, Tae, Wood, Kai, Thep
Activity: Island trip from Phuket, Snorkeling, Beach explore.
Place of interest: Phuket town, Koh Maya, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Ling (Monkey Island), Koh Khai nOrk.

125B/pax is the total money we need to pay for this island trip (speed boat - i still remember the boat have 3 engines and it’s swift). The tour travel over all the best island spot in Andaman Sea such the Koh Maya, Koh Ling, and Koh Khai and Koh Phi Phi. The program starts at 8.30pm (local time), so we manage to take breakfast (the same store we took breakfast on the day before). The van comes straight to the hotel front door taking us to the jetty. If not mistaken the jetty called 'Marina'. It's was a very hot and sunny day, me no lucky because I ruined my own sunglass at the jetty. Means I have to keep my eyes open as small as possible - the sun is very very bright that day!

The tour guide who will supervised all the crew on the boat called 'Tanya', she will monitor and do the explained to all of us, I think is around 30 peoples. (Most of the tourist who on the boat is West Asians+ 5 of us from Malaysia!).

My First Sunset Shoot

D90, VR18-105mm, 1/80s, 1/16f, ISO200

My first Sunset Shoot
Location: Perda, Seberang Prai, Penang

This is my first ever sunset shoot using my Nikon D90. With using the tripod to held the Camera, i manage to shoot this picture firmly. Some more this shoot was taken on the M-mode (manual mode) where is most of the professional's photographer do!
At first i fixed the aperture (desired DOF), and Adjustment mostly done on the shutter speed to control the light. By adjusting the ISO i manage to get better color. Quite a number of shoots taken and this is the best for me. If you notice, the sun was blocked by the cloud!
This sunset picture make me want to shoot more.. Especially for the sunset and sunrise! For more picture from my Nikon D90 please do visit my flickr: SuS@M,

My D90

So finally, this machine is mine! 27th Nov 09' is the date i purchased this new D90. Cost me for RM4449 (+ kit lens + 50mm f1.8 + the filters for both lens). For the first time handling this camera, my hand was shaking. Not even dare to hold the lens attached firmly (excited + nervous)!. I've done some snapping in the shop before manage to dumb all the money for the seller (his name is Micheal). We both do the talking in Thai language though. (You know what it sound like when a Chinese guy do the Thai talking) ;), but he is nice. No any nice picture snapped on that day. So as part of DSLR Nikonian's, this is my shout out'!

"HEY you photographer out there, future's professional photographer is on his way..! ;)"
